  • 1996
  • Aneid Produtos Farmacêuticos Lda founded by William Ahern and Marjaneh Seifi in Lisbon Portugal.
  • Launch Modiodal (Modafinil) for treatment of narcolepsy, targeted to neurologists, and licensed from Laboratories Lafon (which was acquired by Cephalon Pharmaceuticals Inc.)
  • 1997
  • Launch Isoflavonas-MRL (40 mg tablet of pharmaceutical grade soya) for reduction of side-effects associated with pré-menopause and menopause, targeted to gynaecologists and developed by Aneid Lda.
  • Launch Coriolus-MRL (500 mg tablet of Coriolus versicolor) for immunonutrition, targeted to nutritionists and general practitioners and licensed from Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd.
  • Establishes Spanish affiliate - Atena SL and Italian affiliate - Aneid Italia srl to market both Isoflavonas-MRL and Coriolus-MRL to medical doctors and nutritionists in Spain and Italy respectively.
  • 1998
  • Launches Kinesio Tape in Portugal and hosts the first European seminar by Dr. Kase Kenzo (founder of Kenesio-Japan Ltd.) in Portugal. Product targeted to physiotherapists and orthopedic surgeons.
  • 1999
  • Launches Kinesio Tape in Italy (Aneid Italia) and in Spain (Atena) targeted to physiotherapists and orthopedic surgeons.
  • Launch SST for treatment of xerostomia, targeted to neurologists, and licensed from Sinclair Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
  • Launches in Gelclair (15 ml sachets) in Portugal Gelclair for oral mucositis caused by both radiotherapy (to the head and neck) and iodine therapy (for thyroid conditions); targeting hospital radiotherapists and oncologists and licensed from Helsinn Pharmacueticals.
  • 2003
  • Launches Cordyceps-MRL (500 mg tablet of Cordyceps sinensis ) as immunonutrition for patients with alcohol induced liver steatosis, targeted to medical doctors and nutritionists, and licensed from Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd.
  • 2005
  • Initiates clinical trial at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Coimbra Portugal (IPO). The clinical trial design is focused on the use of Coriolus-MRL supplementation (3 grams per day) in HPV (LSIL) patients over 365 days with success parameters based on changes in cervical lesion regression rates and HPV viral load compared to a control group with no Coriolus supplementation.
  • Working with Siegfried AG , Aneid jointly wins the 2005 methadone tender to supply methadone to the Portuguese Military Hospital; supplying methadone to the addiction centers operated by the Portuguese government.
  • 2006
  • Launches Cure Tape as replacement product for Kinesio Tape in Portugal, Spain and Italy, targeting both physiotherapists and orthodedic surgeons.
  • Aneid launches Corpet (500 mg tablets Coriolus versicolor) as immunonutrition for small pets, targeting veterinarians.
  • Working with Siegfried AG , Aneid jointly wins the 2006 methadone tender to supply methadone to the Portuguese Military Hospital; supplying methadone to the addiction centers operated by the Portuguese government.
  • 2007
  • Working with Siegfried AG , Aneid jointly wins the 2007 methadone tender to supply methadone to the Portuguese Military Hospital; supplying methadone to the addiction centers operated by the Portuguese government.
  • 2008
  • Aneid and Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd jointly present the clinical results on Coriolus-MRL trial on the use of Coriolus-MRL in HPV (LSIL) patients at the 20th European Congress of Obsetrics and Gynaecology (held in Lisbon on March 4th to 8th, 2008). Dr. J.Silva Couto demonstrates “proof of concept” that Coriolus-MRL supplementation increases the the regression rate of cervical lesions (72,5% versus 47,5% in control group) and reduces the HPV viral load (91,5% versus 8,5% in control group).
  • 2009
  • Working with Siegfried AG , Aneid jointly wins the 2009 methadone tender to supply methadone to the Portuguese Military Hospital; supplying methadone to the addiction centers operated by the Portuguese government.
  • Aneid´s Spanish affiliate (Atena) begins exportation of Cure Tape to Argentina and Chile.
  • 2010
  • Aneid begins exportation of Cure Tape to México, Costa Rica and Brasil.
  • Aneid´s Spanish affiliate (Atena) begins exportation of Cure Tape to Paraguay.
  • Aneid establishes affiliate in United Kingdom under Mycology Research Laboratories Ltd.
  • Aneid launches Speak (Omega 3 based formulation in 1200 mg softgel capsules) in Europe for the immunutrition needs of patients with verbal apraxia, targeting speech therapists and pediatricians, and licensed from NourishLife Inc.
