Aneid - Produtos Farmâceuticos Lda. (www.aneid.pt) was founded by William Ahern and Marjaneh Seifi in 1997.
Over the past ten years, Aneid Lda has established subsidiaries in Italy (Aneid Italia srl - www.aneiditalia.com) and in Spain (Atena SL - www.atenasl.com).
In 2009, Aneid will establish an affiliate in the United Kingdom.
Background on Founder
Mr. Ahern's background has been in corporate development and pharmaceutical licensing where he represented both the Bioty Group (Portugal) and Companhia Espanhola de Penicillina y Antibioticos (Spain) as Director of Licensing from 1991 to 1996.
During this period he was responsible for initiating and negotiating over twenty licensing / distribution agreements that included the establishment of pharmaceutical joint ventures with Hexal Pharma (Spain and Portugal), Ipsen Beaufour (Portugal) and Ferring (Portugal).
Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Ahern (BA Economics: Clark University 1979, MBA Cornell University 1981) co-founded the mergers and acquisitions group of the Mitsui Bank in New York.
