What is the Cure Tape Product Line?
The Cure Tape Product line is used by physiotherapists and medical doctors in physical rehabilitation and in sports injuries. The basic methods of application (known as Medical Taping Concept or Neuromuscular Taping Method) is taught in a 15 hour course.
Cure Tape has the following product characteristics:
- There is no chemical or pharmacological product delivered by the tape.
- The adhesive is alcohol free with hypo-allergenic backing, in wave-form, reducing the risk of skin irritation and allowing the skin to breathe.
- The tape is not latex but based on cotton fibre; this provides elasticity similar to that of the human skin (130%-140% self-stretching).
- The adhesive characteristics of the surface are activated by body heat.
- The tape is air and water-permeable, while still being water resistant; allowing for the tape to be worn for several days (4-5 days) without loss in the quality of its effect.
Objectives in the application of Cure Tape:
- To raise the skin to enhance both blood and lymphatic circulation.
- To support muscles, ligaments and tendons during rehabilitation or recovery from sports injuries.

Taping Techniques
While the neurological taping concept was originally developed in Japan and Korea in the 1970´s, Cure Tape represents the “hardware” behind taping concepts.
The “software” behind this taping concept continues to evolve. The evolution has lead to the development of the following taping techniques:
- Muscle Tape
- Facia Tape
- Ligament/Tendon Tape
- Corrective Techniques
- Space Technique
- Lymph Tape
These various techniques are taught in the following 10 to 15 hour modular courses scheduled for:
- 2010 – Existing Courses: Basic Course; Sports Course; Advanced Course; Lymphatic Course; Paediatric Course
- 2011 - New courses: Neurological Coursel
The Medical Taping Concept or Neurological Taping Concept courses are taught by professional members of the Association of Instructors for Neuromuscular Taping.
If a physiotherapist in a hospital or a physiotherapy school has an interest to organize a course for 24 Physiotherapists or Medical Doctors, a 15 hour basic course can be developed in coordination with Aneid Ltd (UK).
